Re: New Chinese Parking?

They're using .cn nameservers so it seems promising.

My names are still being 'processed' whatever that means. Suposedly it takes a few days to complete.

Re: New Chinese Parking?

This looks like a very good parking site, atleast they have a very professional design --- simple but make-sense.

Re: New Chinese Parking?

Just added mine, and waiting for the DNS to change.

Regardless of the outcome, it will be interesting to see if the virually zero traffic phenomena with Chinese names is just restricted to Dopa, or whether its a bigger issue.

There's a warning when you add domains...

"Important Notice: Please note that NameRich does not accept domains that are pornographic, gambling related or politically sensitive in nature...."

Re: New Chinese Parking?

I changed the DNS on 3 names, 6 days ago...and I'm still getting "server not found" messages.
I don't mind waiting for a good thing...but I'd like to know that the system is working, at least for others who have parked their names there.

Sorry, misunderstood. I thought you meant the pages were loading slowly, which they would if the Nameservers are in China.

Not quite sure what is happening as I have not attempted to change Nameservers yet.

Presumably, switching Nameservers takes little if any time, so it sounds more like they have not fully loaded your names into their system?

Has anyone got this parking service up and running to date?

here's how i understand it.

I added my names to their interface last week, and if you login and look at your list of domains, they should have a "OK" status next them. this means they have been through their vetting/approval process.

so far none of mine have this status, so they are not resolving either.

Well i imagine 1 of 2 things is happening here:

1) they are competing with DOPA for the rubbishness award

or

2) they have been inundated by people opening accounts and adding names that they are slowly going through them all vetting each name to ensure it doesn't contrevene the chinese rules

or option 3) especially for the conspiracists:

namerich is a company owned by DOPA. They have been created to make DOPA look good in comparison
