Sales listings at DNJournal

Am I allowed to ask a sales question here? If not please move my post to wherever it's appropriate.

I'm interested in knowing what the minimum sale should be in order to report it to DNJournal. $500? 1K? More? Less?

Thanks!

Re: Sales listings at DNJournal

Out of curiosity, i went to take a look at latest sale listing at DNJ, there were a few notable "town" sales.

Quote:
Geo domains took the spotlight this week with Penticton.com being purchased by Canada's Shaun Pilfold for 88,000 Canadian Dollars ($75,823 US) and a deal for Buckhead.com about to close at $250,000. Just before our deadline for this column, DigiPawn.com announced the purchase of Buckhead.com, but the domain transfer had not been completed yet, so we will be unable to chart the sale until next week.

Buckhead is an upscale neighborhood in Atlanta where Digipawn President Rick Latona makes his home. Latona said, "I probably overpaid for the domain but I live in Buckhead and just had to have it. Buckhead is where the money is at in Atlanta and we have an exciting new service we are launching to monetize local traffic. We wanted to test it in our back yard.” This is probably the highest price ever paid for the name of a neighborhood within a city.

What i want to say to fellow domainers, hold on to your city names, especially the .COMs. People can buy city names out of emotion, so even if IDN does not take off in a big way, city names will still appreciate over time.
