Re: NeuStar Launches Chinese and Japanese Language Domain Names in .BIZ TLD

Well, i don't know that 体育 is a japanese word. 体育 is sports in Chinese.

I'm a dot com person, and for chinese, dot net is also good, and then next comes ctld. I think that if anything else than dot com, dot net and dot ctld is valuable, the next in line must be .TV.

This is not merely an IDN issue or personal opinion, if you ask any ASCII domainer, they will say the same thing.

.ORG sales versus .TV sales. Year to date, whenever to date. Enough said about the issue.

I think you and I both know that the only extensions that are feasible from a Chinese context are going to be .com and .cn

I think you and I both know that there are more combinations of characters in the Chinese language to develop a consumer centric domain name relative to brand and business.

I also hope you already understand that .tv is not even on the radar in China at the moment. Like I asked you before, revolutionary thinking of personal subjectivity?

One more thing:

体育
ti yu
1.physical education or training

Definition from Baidu. I would still go with .org even in Chinese.

Re: NeuStar Launches Chinese and Japanese Language Domain Names in .BIZ TLD

There are many people in Japan that have porn sites on .tv

Do the research yourself

Put the japanese porn term in google.co.jp and add site:.tv next to it and it will show you how many are on .tv

Re: NeuStar Launches Chinese and Japanese Language Domain Names in .BIZ TLD

I just made a test, searching the same term with "" and with "site:.com", "site:.net", etc.

Rankings were:

com 1.5m
net 1.2m
org 800k
us 97k
tv 37K
biz 844

.

It was a rhetorical question, don't get testy now. I've already run my searches and done the homework.

Why don't you run the searches and compare .tv results with .com? Wait, can you even read those search results?

Why don't I even help you with a word: 風俗

Ok, i didn't check online dictionary, just typed while composing my comment. 体育 primary definition is really sports - http://image.baidu.com/i?tn=baiduima...d=%CC%E5%D3%FD

sports.tv (the idn) is a good domain - i don't own it, someone else on this forum does.

Again, i'm not commenting on whether .tv is better than .com, .cn, or even .net - which wins if there is a DNAME.

性 site:.tv in google.co.jp yields 800,000 pages using the .tv extension

Not as much as you'd like but it shows you its "used" alot in Japan.

You have no idea how extensive my research on this has been and its not my job to tell you everything i know. So you can just leave the japanese porn dot tv to those that know. Fair enough ?

Also im glad something good came from this convo Picked up one of my weaker .jp's today from it 仔犬.jp Puppy.jp lol thanks

185,000 pages on .tv
