WTO rules against US gaming ban

The US has failed to change legislation that unfairly targets offshore-based gambling websites, a World Trade Organization (WTO) panel has ruled.
The WTO said the US could only continue to block such websites if its laws were equally applied to US firms that offer off-track betting on horse racing.

Shares in UK online gambling firms rose on the news.....

Re: WTO rules against US gaming ban

I'm thinking new legislation will come and all this crap will be reversed or at least modded within the next 2 years.

It's so frikken stupid, I live in washington state where online gaming laws are the toughest in the union and at the same time this state has the biggest online gaming presence! You can scratch off virtual scratch tickets on the state website and drive to 10 diff. native casino's within an hour from my house here!

My final rant... Playing an online poker tourney is not gambling. It's a skill based game where the better players always come out on top in the long run. I have many a screen shot like this one to prove it

Sorry, I am a bit slow here.

You are winning big money in Poker Tournaments on site that you own and for which you wrote the software?

Re: WTO rules against US gaming ban

The politicisation of the US DoJ is finally getting mainstream coverage, and the enablers are resigning on a daily basis.

Once the political beasts have been expunged and replaced with career legal people, this sirt of crap will not get the prioritisation it used to.
