PPC has been a slow increase in the past year, but, for me, the trend has shot upward in the last 30 days. My data shows a statistically significant difference in the rate of increased revenue. Sunday, May 6th, I had the most clicks ever - even my old parked ascii domains are not able to compete anymore.

I didn't park anything IDN until May 22, 2006 and I remember having a few days last spring with zero clicks. April 2007 was really a breakout month and May 2007, if trends continue, will blow April away. If the summer is usually slower for PPC, I await autumn with baited breath.

And I continue to reg fresh new IDNs.
Same here. Record numbers driven by Latins and Russians.

I continue to reg also, much to my amazement, but at a fairly slow pace. I still see lots of fertile ground. Most people in ASCII-land make their living off second-tier names, as the super-premiums have been out of reach for a long time.

The IDN second tier is far from depleted, despite what some would suggest. I have yet to finish regging my original lists, and I keep getting distracted by new finds!

It looks like the era of sustainable portfolios is just around the corner. That should change the whole IDN landscape, more buyers coming in, fewer selling on.

It is also clear that more players are coming into the Auction Market. Both Domainfest and Roundtable and running Auctions in conjunction with their conferences this year. This will start to make the whole retail market much more competitive. The days when the likes of Sedo can afford to turn their noses up at the biggest growth sector are over. Mind you their is nothing to stop them crashing a perfectly good business into a wall. At the end of the day that is still their perogative.

And for some at least that benchmark has already been achieved.

Re: Now the waiting game begins...

Back in Feb 2006 it was said that the market was drying up fast (see above posts). Thank goodness we wildcatters and miners are keeping the registrars fat and happy. Oh, and finding some domains in the dusty mines and dry wells.

Re: Now the waiting game begins...

Update, May 6th had the most clicks ever, May 7th was my highest revenue ever, until May 8th topped May 7 revenue. Clicks at $1.14, $2.20 and $3.50 on French and Swedish domains are the reason for the jump. Swedish always pays well, anyway.

I moved about 500 more domains to ND from Sedo so the higher traffic is helping. The domains were dormant at Sedo.
