Exclamation 160.000 domains recently scanned and...

Hi all !

I read it everywhere: 'there's no more 3 letters ASCII opened'

humm, ok, ok...

but, i wanted to be sure of this, so i've recently scanned 158.184 domains:

- all 3 letters: from aaa to zzz, so 17.576 possibilities (26x26x26)
- in 9 extensions: com, net, org, info, biz, tv, eu, mobi, fr

and you know what?

.com: 0 available
.net: 0 available
.org: 0 available
.info: 0 available
.biz: 0 available
.tv: 0 available
.mobi: 0 available

.fr: i keep this secret...

Not very surprising concerning gTLD, but concerning tv and mobi i was quite surprised
(of course, forget 2 letters, except in ws)

Regards

how much time exactly did you waste on this pointless exercise? Several forum members could have told you the answer and saved you the bother of putting more strain on the registries, and giving them excuses to raise prices again

yeah, but why waste 6 days hammering the registries on getting results that should have been obvious in the first place?

I think you will find Bimbo that Domainguru does a lot more hammering than you with a much more sophisticated range of equipment. The biggest difference of course is that he does it for a commercially valid purpose, other than just creating more greenhouse gases.
