not that i know every sale i haven't heard of him selling any domains i think he actually known for selling actual businesses such as imall and i think he had something to do with a lilttle site called myspace if im right he just recently got in to the whole domain thing.

I think the article only shows a link to what Rosenblatt said ? The article on Sedo Blog is not by him or Demand Media.

It will be interesting to see how or if .tv takes off.

Anybody have any thoughts if idn.tv will get hit with premium pricing. I know several here have good/premium (hate to use that word) .tv names in multiple languages.

I thought about reggin a couple of mine out 5 years or so just in case???

I suspect a lot of that is in presales and possibly some multiple years.

Those don't look like the kind of numbers I would have though Demand Media would have been looking for on day one, as sales are more likley to tail off than grow organically.

If they sold all their Premium names for that figure is just about Reg Fee!

Those that sat on their hands to see how this pans out will still be sitting on their hands.

My point is that one single company wanting a domain like this for the branding of their main site would almost certainly secure the lease for 10 years.

One domain like this could represent the full $500K. Not much of a splash for the likes of Verisign.

Seems unlikely that Demand Media have covered their promotion costs out of their cut of the proceeds.
