You are all amateurs !

Spending thousands of dollars for hundreds of domain names such as the Chinese symbol for herpes following by the .com -- most of you have spent a ton of money for some damn stupid names.

With the advent of the Chinese language top level domain equivalent of .com, these Asian .com's will be even more worthless than they already are.

Collecting thousands of two and three word combinations of foreign words spells trouble for your finances. The choice between holding on to your illusion or giving up everything and admitting failure will tear you apart.

Focus your efforts on those one-word domains with the .com or with the soon-to-be-released Chinese/Japanese top level domain equivalent of .com. For all of the effort and treasure that you expend buying 100 of these crappy names, see if you can get one decent name.

How many of you have actually bought a domain name from someone else? If you really think they're so valuable, you shouldn't be afraid to spend a few hundred to get a pre-owned domain that is under-valued.

Look, nobody wants an IDN.tv either (or any of the many other mini-domains). Not only is it confused with the non-IDN equivalent, it is also confused with the .com. With the added burden of a yearly renewal fee, this is not an attractive opportunity.

Some of you have decent names. I won't make fun of anyone that has a country name such as Sénégal.com, but the other 95% of you are going down in flames.

Here is a test to see how many of you have decent names: How many of you dominate official government Web sites?

For example, the official Web site of the Republic of Gabon is LeGabon.org. LeGabon.com was one of my first domain names.

The official Web site of Nigeria's Kano State (population nine million) is KanoState.net, wheras I have KanoState.com.

Does anyone else have a .com on top of an official government Web site, especially using a geographic name?

Furthermore, what is the correct term for this. I mean, if you have example.net and I have example.com, do I dot-com-dominate you? What is the term for this?

Anyway, most of you will crash and burn.

Brian

If you're so all knowing and all powerful, then why does your rant smack of frustration. Only a newbie would attack an entire community of investors with ignorant generalizations.

PS Quit sending me those god damned emails asking for help transferring $15.4 million dollars out of Africa.

...punk

Re: You are all amateurs !

Dear Honorable Domain Investor,

After much deliberation, but before awarding the contracts, the international internet security committee of Nigerian, has agreed to over-inflate the link sharing contract to the tune of $38,500,000.00 which we shall use a reliable foreign partner to claim. If you are interested in this transaction…

Notice a trend though. French speaking domainers seem to like to put down Asian domains. I wonder why.

Can't wait for this to cross my mail box any day now:
You should have asked how many continent names! Three: L'Europe, L'Afrique, and L'Amérique. (leurope.com, lafrique.com, lamerique.com / lamérique.com)

It's open to interpretation how many dot-com countries I have. Of course I have Sénégal.com and Haïti.com, but in French a country such as "Congo" becomes "Le Congo". (Even in English you say "The Congo", but in French it is required to precede almost all country names with the definite article.)

As I explained, for example, the government of Gabon chose LeGabon.org as their official Web site, and I already had LeGabon.com. I also have LeSenegal.com, LeSénégal.com, LeMali.com, LeBurkinaFaso.com, LeNiger.com, LeTchad.com, LeRwanda.com, LeBurundi.com, LeCameroun.com. I also have AfriqueCentrale.com and Afriquedelouest.com (West Africa and West Africa). I also have European domains such as luxembourgeois.com

All these names you are showing, show us a revenue report from 1 of them , I'm sure i can show you revenue from a IDN that brings in 10 x what you get!

Those are nice. I think countries are better than continent.

Now comes the part where he tells you that he's so rich, he doesn't need to monetize his domains. A Gold bullion brick falls out of his anus every couple of days.

People resort to name-calling when they feel their own position is weak.

Are you having a laugh?

We worked nearly 60 hours a week. Spent the rest of the time getting drunk and getting layed. It was over 20 years ago now.
