An alternative to Dreamhost?

Anyone know of a price-comparable alternative to Dreamhost?

I like their set-up and control panel, but they have wayyyy too many outages. All my sites are down again!!

Nothing to insert into your pages and they send you an email every time your site goes down and also when it comes back up..

Use a throw-away email address for this as you will be getting a lot of "Website status: unreachable" emails

Probably the wrong place to come for advice. This site has one of the slowest access speeds on the Internet.

If you're just looking for mini site hosting, I may be able to rent you a slot on my server. It wouldn't be anything close to the numbers that the oversellers claim to offer, but it would be plenty for a lot of small, static mini sites (no forums).

That's something I'd like to do also. I signed up with one company for $50 a year for reseller hosting, but jeez... .

Really looking for some stable hosting within the next 2 weeks or so.

Try ev1server, i'm using a $99 a mth server.

If you're getting more adsense in a day than what your hosting cost in a mth (which i guess is a few bucks??), downtime isn't worth it. There's a price for using cheap hosting.

I can offer minisite hosting for competitive pricing on my Netherlands server. I can also do it in Tokyo, but the price would be higher there.

I've had fairly decent uptime on the Netherlands server - 2 outages each lasting less than an hour in 4 months time, both due to hardware maintenance. This server is right on the point of 8 very high speed international links, really fast bandwidth and low latency.

Truly answer is I don't know. I still have the old account with them and have not asked yet for an account upgrade. Yes, old one is subdomains from a main domain.

dnlocal.com is now hosted on BlueHost and downtime has been good. Also we have a lot of goodies like $50 adsense and $50 ovt and others...
