Re: moniker account problem

I've got exactly the same problem as you...

I've transfer 8 domain names from Domainsite.com to Moniker after I created a account there.
Then ... (same situation as you've met)

Most of that 8 domain names will expire soon, and I've paid the transfer fee to Moniker already.

And I don't know if they will reactive my account or not?

Thanks for contacting us about your account xxxxx

Your account was temporarily suspended because it was not assigned to a

Re: moniker account problem

I will not take the risk and continue registering idns with moniker any more..
I will pay more and register all my idns with Dynadot.

When i needed help from Dynadot and contacted support, they replied to me within the same day. While moniker support didn't reply to me until today as i emailed them . And i guess they replied to me after they read this post here !

Glenda claimed that it was a security issue, if that is correct then how did she verify that iam legit ?! And why it took them a lot of days ( i opened my account in 20/5 ) ? Why they ignore me all this time ?

Today is a major US holiday. Give them a call tomorrow, they are usually very professional.

Re: moniker account problem

To be fair it is probably no different really than what happens at Domainsite. I keep getting flagged up for the Fraud Dept even though I have been with them for years. It seems they process the orders at one level but not at another level until you have been cleared. Orders are processed in regard to the Registry, but domains are not put into your account. Generally all seems to come out in the wash.

I have a number of issues with Moniker, and whilst I would agree that it sounds as the support has been poor, this is not that unusual amongst registrars. I find Monte's whiter than white image difficult to accept primarily because of the company he keeps, the way we have been treated in respect to the Traffics Auctions, and the very very short Grace period that you get from Moniker. I do think there reputation for being a secure registrar is probably well earned but I am not sure that some of the claims they make would really stand up to scrutiny. If the domain never made your account then they probably wouldn't accept that it had been lost. However, if it was available when you made a valid order then I would count that as one of theirs. If it never appeared in your account then I would chalk that up as a domain lost. I guess they probably wouldn't see things the same way.

Re: moniker account problem

this has happened to me once in the past... I funded the account using paypal, then I could not login. They were not responding to email so I called them to find out that they have suspended my account because according to them the transaction had failed and they were saying something about fraud protection etc- I cannot remember exactly. Anyway, after I told them that the money had left my paypal account and that it was unacceptable to block my account, they looked into it and within minutes they acknowledged their mistake and apologized. It cost me a 25 minute international call to resolve this though.

Besides the crappy support, they are still the best registrar out there. I wish they would invest more in their support... I think they got too big too fast and are understaffed

Re: moniker account problem

Steer clear of domainsite.

Any registrar that is going to keep sending you renewal messages for domains you transfered away fro them months ago clearly has technically-challenged technical staff.
