I haven't researched this name yet, but I find it incredible (bordering unbelievable) that a Premium Term like "Computer" can be regged 2 months ago.

this means it either dropped
or everyone missed regging it
or its not Prime way of saying it

I notice the .net was regged prior to the .com, so i guess it was a drop - but then it obviously didn't get any attention from the Snappers at SnapNames - why?

Excuse my cycnism, but when a name like this shows up this late in the game, these are questions I have to ask.

I assume that something in the farsi script is different but I can't find it. I also think the name for sale was a drop because I remember looking through the whois and noticed the .net was owned by someone here. I would think that either that person or myself would have regged the.com if it was avail. the reason it got through snap I believe is a lack of trusted and bulk translators for farsi.

Those two are clearly different. Look at the character above the two dots. I think the name on auction is a typo. If so, it should clearly be stated as such.

Also, compare the Google Trends:

Where the Wikipedia word has much higher trends.

Tee - you are correct, there is a letter that has two different versions. I believe the culprit is ي versus ی. When joined together in these two terms they look identical (at least to me). The components of these two versions are:

ر ا ي ا ن ه.com (xn--mgba2a5ffp.com) and

ر ا ی ا ن ه.com (xn--mgba2a5ff90f.com)

Wow, jackson - the two you posted look identical on my system. Is there really a difference on your computer? The don't see a difference until I split them up.

yes you are right, .NET version also regged at 5/2006 and renewed by the owner to 2008 .. he didn't left it to drop,he would do if its not a prime one.

yes the one on auction different of the one at wikipedia but I informed by an Iranian guy (he is the same one I depended on to reg this name) they are almostly the same and being used by every one in the same meaning.

from my search and by asking the Iranian guy رايانه is the popular way to say Computer while كامپيوتر is the scientific way to say it .. its some thing as in Arabic to say (كمبيوتر) as a popular term and using (حاسوب) as a scientific/academic way to say the same word.

I'm running my laptop screen at 1400 x 1050, and I couldn't see a difference until I put them at size 7 in my reply and did a preview.
