Re: New here and really need some help
If registering in .com go here and paste in the Japanese: domainsite.com
If registering in .jp go here and paste in the Japanese: JP-Domains.com Don't worry about the punycode thing. You register a name directly, not through punycode.

Re: New here and really need some help
Welcome to IDNF. If you are not sure of the spelling or quality of your name, you can register at Dynadot.com, where you have approx. a 3 day grace period to cancel your name if needed. They don't offer that at Domainsite and it is not offered on any .jp domains.
Some register their "questionable" names at dynadot, then put them up for appraisal here. Just a note that is common sense...don't put unregistered names up for appraisal as they can be quickly stolen. Good luck. |

Re: New here and really need some help
jim breen's dictionary is concise and generally pretty good with limitations - google it and you will find it
there are better dictionaries in Japanese but you need to navigate a japanese interface |

Translators won't tell you whether the word is the primary or population version, you should use google trends and JP OVT to validate your keyword. |

Quote:
You can enter mixed puny/unicode, it will convert the unicode. Punyconversion should be fine since I last updated it and the rfc hasn't changed in the meanwhile so it should be ok.

Make sure you check Japanese overture for popularity and searches, and also google with "quote" marks around the term to look for total uses and relevant website pages. |
