with near 100 million PR/ marketing worldwide......on top of the ICANN budget..

the dot CN / zhong guo inside China is done...and the root servers outside of the PRC are ready for very fast millisecond responses to and from China...

go ahead and PING or traceroute your dot CN's for yourself from a China proxy server or even a server tied to the GFW..

the Cairo conference finished the Russsian cyrilic issue of dot 'po' ...pushing aside the 'py' ...paraguay phishing ccTLD issue....finally...

The Paraguayans holding up the Russian IDN fast track is kind of amusing...

With 20+ nations ...I think IDN dot com's in Arabic and IDN dot nets in Arabic are likely to be briskly traded very soon.....

Especially if these ccTLD's are secretive and hold back 1000's of names....

the russian ccTLD hold back is likely to be in the 10,000 of names...

I have not looked online to see what the Iranians will do for hold backs on Farsi...

therefore......all the marketing power will go to those who grabbed the great names of farsi idn dot coms and urdu idn dot coms......

If some here don't know what a great xxx,xxx IDN is for potential sale in
2009......it is a name that a company or entrepreneur sees the branding potential of......not the PPC traffic conversion potential....

If a potential buyer mentions PPC to you, to try to drive negotiations in their direction ....just stop the interaction and move on....

smarter and motivated buyers are coming....
and they know they are getting bargains at xxxx....
