Re: Sedo Brokers $1m Chinese.com Sale

Guess the person who bought this one has not read that famous best selling Chinese book titled... 中国人也会说不 (Chinese people also know how to say NO!).

Or is my guess wrong - and this was actually bought by a non-Chinese person / company instead?
Any idea who bought it Rubberduck (is an interesting sale)?

Cheers - Asiaplay

I think it's targeted at the non-chinese speaking market that want to learn how to speak chinese.

Re: Sedo Brokers $1m Chinese.com Sale

Probably true - and I thought it might be some nationalism insurance at play
But guess you are right - no Chinese Company would pay USD1M for a .com at the moment (maybe) .

There is a lot of money in language teaching (so maybe could be justified commercially over the longer term - if they have the teaching plan which matches this level of payment)... I just hope they bought studychinese.every extension and study-chinese.every extension (and learn chinese etc. etc. as well) if this is their plan.

Cheers - Asiaplay

PS: I see the Chinese.net is still in play... be interesting to see what that goes for.
