Re: Is GoDaddy doing IDN?

i noticed that Godaddy resellers offer IDN registration service ..

They just have a script that converts from unicode to punycode extra than godaddy (same script as the one on idnforums) ..

Re: Is GoDaddy doing IDN?

To sell IDN you have to have a separate ICANN accreditation.

Are you telling me GoDaddy resellers have that where GoDaddy doesn't?

It isn't separate accreditation... It's special approval.

Re: Is GoDaddy doing IDN?

Theye may have been transferred into Godaddy after registration?

The language tag is only used at registration time. Not required for a transfer.

Theoretically possible I guess, but doesn't make much sense. Godaddy is about as bad as it gets in ASCII. Why would you transfer an IDN there which they don't support?

Perhaps he is simply trying to confuse Yahoo. Well I guess he has done a pretty good job on me!

Re: Is GoDaddy doing IDN?

Perhaps somebody should just write to yahoo and compliment then on their new IDN site :-)
