Apprasial scam doing the rounds..

The usual scam senario...

'I run a software company. We develop client-server systems and databases in MS SQL and Delphi. Buying and selling domain names is not my main business. Just another way to invest money and make additional income.'

So he wants to buy my xxx.com with an initial offer of $4000. The name is worth reg fee, if that!

I emailed 'him' back and told him I already had 2 apprasials and both had appraised it at 11 and 12K respectively (I dont have it appraised, just wanted to see what his reaction was)

Emails me with the link we all get to the forum where 'they' discuss who is good for appraisals etc. and wants me to use his service.

Annway, email him to let him know that Im not a great beliver in appraisals anyway and to 'sweeten' the deal, I casually just happen to mention that the name is making $xxx per month just being parked (I wish!)

He is now...

"Sorry, but I don't understand your position.

You can always use this appraisal to promote your name or sell it to
somebody else. But what will I do with the appraisal certificate if you
decide to sell your name to another buyer?

I'm interested in your domain but I don't want to risk and will not
proceedwithout appraisal. I never change this rule because it helps me to
make good investments.

Thank you for understanding. I'm looking forward to do business with you."

Email is originating from what seems, on the surface, a legit company though I dont have the know-how beyond a whois search to dig any deeper.

Anybody interested can have a transcript and the email headers.
