Angry Enom + IDN.ws

I just had 3 IDN.ws auto-renewed on Enom and they charged my $25 EACH! On Dynadot it's $7!

Just to let you know...

Re: Enom + IDN.ws

Moniker has a deal for $6.95 (for .COM domains; .NET are for $5.49).

Or $6.85 if you transfer from another registrar (for .COM domains; .NET are for $5.00).

Re: Enom + IDN.ws

Jose these obviously weren't hand-regged, otherwise why on earth would you register at enom of all places? This was your script in action using their API when IDN.ws was new right?

You still ought to transfer them at $7 each before you forget next year. And change all your scripts to use Dynadot's API - it works flawlessly, even if it's a bit limited in what it can do.

Re: Enom + IDN.ws

mdw: lol

All my scripts give me an excel page report that I have to manualy clear from garbase the script can't detect (tv shows, actor names, popular singers, TM)
I still use enom API only to check if they are free, but I might try IP checking next.
Althought I am not using the scripts any longer...

I had indeed a drop script running once on enom api but was never lucky enought to get the domains I was after. Tucows always kept beating me...

I have those on enom, because they are arabicIDN.ws and for some reason Dynadot refused to do those back then. One of these is "the 14 million dollars arabic IDN" on the .ws extension, of course....

Someone who has a $14 million dollar IDN should not be complaining about $25 reg. fees.

Re: Enom + IDN.ws

Also Jose on the bad new front, according to Dynadot: "WS domains cannot be transferred. This is a rule of the WS central registry."

may be worth slightly less than the full $14 million...

You can get yourself a RESELLER account at Enom, then you only pay $8.95 for renewals.
There are people at DNF that will sponsor you for the account I think.

Doesn't help with .ws prices. I pay $6.95 for .com but still $24.95 for .ws... if I had any, which I don't :p

Re: Enom + IDN.ws

If you want to renew a few domains in a reseller account but don't want to prepay the $100 then create another account under your reseller account ... push domains to it, renew them and then push them back ..

.ws can't be transferred away from the initial registrar ... I think

Educate yourself first about the extension you are registering. .WS can not be transfered between registrars. Period. Enom has nothing to do with it.

Re: Enom + IDN.ws

I don't know for eNom, but when I reg my first idn.ws, it was at domaindiscount24.

What I done to 'transfer' them (because of renewal prices) is about 6 months after I bought them, I deleted them and immediatly re-buy them at dynadot (Dynadot didn't make idn.ws at this time).

There's a little risk, but on .ws less than other extensions I think.
It was deleted/re-bought in less than one hour if i remember well.

Hope it can help.
