Many a time, a two word combination is better than the single generic term (as far as type-in traffic is concerned)
A surfer types-in:
A) hotels.com
B) TokyoHotels.com
Surfer "B" is
immediately presented with relevant info/ads regarding his choice destination, on page 1, while surfer "A" needs to look around to find what he's looking for.
tokyohotels.com traffic is pinpoint targeted, therefore more
potent than hotels.com traffic.
hotel.com just has more traffic and that's where the big money goes
