dot TV has the variable pricing issue...
Enom runs dot TV for Verisign......and tried the variable and very exorbitant pricing model...
business.tv yearly asking fee of $500,000 or something..
eventually dropped....etc
I think dot TV will have variants....within a year of dot com/ net variants...
no reason to hold off if com/net have variants...
but if they go with variable ...or discretionary pricing...it would fare poorly...
But since it is a cctld in reality with Tuvalu........they could simply fast track it for the first quarter just like Russia and China...
In many ways to go dot IDN with dot TV would be a good test for Verisign' back end IT internally......
but the marketing/legal people will dictate the policy not IT of course...
if China were a more liberal nation.....dot 电视 would be fine...
for now xxxxTV.com/cn or xxxxxx电视.com/cn is common..
who knows........
I expect the dot mobi crowd to try to make money in China with
dot 移动 ..........
that would be pretty lame......IMHO..
