Dictionary is a big term. The ccTLD would seem to have a lot of synergy here, as Language is an essential attribute to any language, so to me it says Chinese Dictionary (Correct me if am I wrong). When learning Hanzi the Chinese are going to need to refer to the symbols a lot more than the English. We can learn written language at a verbal level.

"What does "domain" mean?"

"It means Internet Address"

"How do you spell that?"

I-N-T-E-R-N-E-T

Now try to imagine the same conversation in Chinese!

I would say this is a 10 on the Olney Scale, which means that if you hang on to it for a bit it has to be North of $1M.

字典.中国 just means Dictionary.China or CharacterDictionary.China. It can be used for an online Chinese dictionary or an English dictionary website.

There's another chinese word that has a similar meaning to dictionary - "词典" or "phrase dictionary" - dunno if there's an english word to describe that. This is a far less popular term with US OVT of only 78.

The dictionary is used many times more often in the Chinese learning context than English, probably 10 times more often. In English, the dictionary is used to find out the meaning of obscure characters, whilst the Chinese dictionary is used, additionally, to find out how a character looks like or is written, usually by referencing to the number of stroke or by pinyin.

Pricely my point. Dictionary is a massive term in English, but this has to be 10 times more valuable , as the reference frequency has to be much greater!

I can see computers are going to do so much for Chinese Education!
