xn--juegoserticos-ilb.com sold for $380 at Snapnames.

I think the ASCII (Spanish unaccented) version sold a while back for xx,xxx

I might be wrong, but my impression is that ó is a weak accent?

Not sure...it appears on google this way with the accent on the o. The sites are from Spain, not South America if that makes a dif.
Probably appears more unaccented at all. Not sure where I got this translation from...but I had placed an order months ago at Snap thinking it was the real deal but missed the auction as I was travelling.

You can use Google trends to gauge popularity.

It's not a typo. That's actually the right way to write that phrase. BUT...

The price is high IMO, considering that Spanish speaking people is (sadly) more used every day to not using accents when they write.

In this case, the non-IDN version of the phrase is searched 40 times more than the IDN version of it.

The same could be said for French, but I am getting more and more traffic to Spanish & French accented domain names these days. Habits die hard.

My Portuguese domains are still a disappointment.

If the google algorithm sees it "equal" to the unaccented version, it may get good page ranking based on match
to exact search keywords.

On the only french domain I have developed, I get 2.5 times the search visits for the accented version compared to the unaccented version (according to google analytics).
