I'm not sure if this is the most common term for 'sex'. Overature is healthy, but I would think it would be higher for the 'real' term. The .tv extension is not great yet, but give it time. Good domain.

Any japanese speaker care to comment what are the most popular terms similar to "sex"? It seems that 'adult' or 'lewdness' are more popular than sex.

セックス is not as popular than アダルト but the concept of アダルト implies other things than sex doesnt. I mean videos, anime, games, fetish etc. Sex is sex, adult is "things" for adults, with obviously the "sex idea" as well. but that セックス means sex, it does. like sex friends, anal sex, sex in group, sex photos, etc. as you can tell from the stats. You cant say for sex friend アダルト フレンド adult friend but only セックス　フレンド, same with anal, etc. Or to say as well アダルト する doesnt make sense セックス　する does. to do sex. but u can also say like in english in other ways in japanese with are popular like to screw, to fXck...etc.

I am a hopeful believer in the .tv extention. If it ever went to IDN.IDN you would hope that .tv would resolve as ”テレビ" . As Paris Hilton said, "that's hot".

But this is the most speculative extention and I wouldn't advise willy nilly buying when there are still decent .jp/.com/.net in abundance. Still it's a good term and it works with this extention so it is a long-term keeper. I rated it low. I am confused on your scale whether 1 is good and 10 is bad or vice versa, so I rated you a 3 but I might have meant 7.

Adult.tv would be a much better name, but nonetheless, if idn.tv does takes off, sex.tv will be a good investment.
