In part 2 of the IDN Video Broadcast, ICANN discusses the test run on October 15th 2007, when Internet users around the globe were able to access wiki pages with the domain name example.test in 11 test languages — Arabic, Persian, Chinese (simplified and traditional), Russian, Hindi, Greek, Korean, Yiddish, Japanese and Tamil.

Did you get the video to play?

I got it to play, I used Firefox. Nice intro and conclusion with individuals talking in their native language, the majority was Tina talking, trying to get people to go to the wiki test pages.

One good thought... By mid-2008 and beyond, I believe that any IDN.IDN rushes may help locals become aware of IDN.ascii.
