IMO, not before 3-4 years on idn (maybe more) and 2-3 years on ascii (my bet)

Main pbm is when they will open idn, ascii owners will got right on idn, so go on to mine on com & net imo.

I can see them giving idn.fr to holders of ascii.fr but not ascii.com, don't you think?

Yes, that's it.
As concerning idn.es at this moment, when afnic will open idn.fr, ascii.fr owners will have rights on idn.fr
