I think HồChíMinh.com is an excellent domain name. I just couldn't understand why it was put up in the Geo auction last month, as it refers to an individual rather than a city (HồChíMinhCity.com or ThànhphốHồChíMinh.com would have been more appropriate). I believe all three of these are held by different members here. I wouldn't mind having any one of them in my Viet portfolio. If it doesn't sell, they can always auction it here with a very modest opening bid and low reserve.

Yes, correct translation Rhys. Thành phố means "city of". It is the formal way to preface the names of Vietnamese cities. Well done!
