Buying IDNs with OVT stats with ext

I have bought one Japanese IDN with a .com in the OVT results.

I wanted to see even without the IE does it get traffic.

Recently my stats got reset for my IDNs but this is producing type in traffic.

I think it averages about 5 type ins a day.

The company in Japan is a portal for uses who want to search for cars new & used.
They actually only promote the site with the Japanese name

The company is just up the street from where I'm working & I saw the sign here in Tokyo.
I believe their portal will get bigger & bigger
I'm just not sure if I'll get in trouble for buying the URL....

The point is it does produce type in traffic.

As long as you didn't leave a Tokyo address you should be fine!

That is very sensible actually, because they will provide the best sticky content available for your domain name and this is probably the quickest and cheapest way of building traffic, but it will still be your traffic, which you should be able to monetize later.

It is also a very good way of helping to promote IDN in Japan.

On the downside you will struggle to sell this domain for a very high price, but on the positive side there is very little risk that it won't sell.
