Will this Chinese IDN 公园.cn (park.cn) be deleted?

I just registered 公园.cn (park.cn). This is a dropped name not caught by anyone.
I think it is pretty good. But the fact that no one want it is kind of wired. I guess it has deletion danger?

Not sure why it's available again.

Do you know how long does it take to delete a name?
If that period of time has passed, does that mean the name is safe?

.cn domains can be pulled by the .cn registry at any time. some of us, me included, have had .cn domains found "in violation" of some code or another many months even years after registration went through.

bottom line: .cn is definitely caveat emptor.

Regardless, the name is now blocked and can't be registered. But why? What is special about a park?

And deleted names can be registered again only to be deleted once again!!

If a name like park.cn can be deleted, what else can't be deleted.

ok, i got some info. the name Park.cn was denied because it is has been tagged as related to state organizations or institutions. So, names like fun.cn and funny.cn will not be blocked that way.

Yes, this is an important distinction. If you notice the sales trends, Chinese flippers are quicker to get rid of high risk names with any association with state business or any keyword of national significance or link.

For instance, they will likely keep a name like antivirus.cn or jokes.cn or games.cn, than television.cn (TV is a high risk name as television is state controlled), whereas antivirus is not associated with any government organization. Jokes and games are even more benign keywords.

The reason dot com is dot com is because companies have confidence to sink their vast advertising budgets into it.

Just avoid sensitive and controversial names will do.

If one pays top dollars for names linked to the state, monopolies, media, adult, religion, politics, then one is really asking for trouble.
