Interimnameservers.com ?

When I check soon to be dropped names I quite often run into interimnameservers.com and I haven't been able to figure which company is behind it.

I read somewhere it's Snapnames but I'm not sure. Are these the servers where domains are put once they are bought through Snapnames or ....?

Any help to improve my understanding is greatly appreciated

Yes, Interimnameservers is snapnames.

Do you know whether it's a special status when Interimnameservers is used?

It's not a special status, these are the default DNS and you have to change them, unless you want to give your traffic to SnapNames !

In your SnapNames account you can also change the default DNS, for example for your parking provider.
