It's Greek to moi -- eros

eros in greek

Is one of these more correct and more widely accepted?

ερωσ
ἔρωσ

Re: It's Greek to moi -- eros

The more "correct" is ἔρωσ but we don't use these diacritics any more, unfortunately.
ερωσ is what you need to keep and that is more of a formal word nowdays.

Ερωτας and 'Ερωτας is the term for "in love".

In general, your terms will most likely get no traffic or gain much of a resale value.

Re: It's Greek to moi -- eros

Thanks Yanni for the help. It's interesting because eros is a good english term. What do the greeks think of the word and it's meaning. Say I wanted to develope it -- would it be good for dating, or relationship coaching, or parenting, or what?

Any ideas would be helpful, thanks

Re: It's Greek to moi -- eros

If you were to develop, yes. But the Greeks use it only for it's original meaning: the ancient God of Love. It also has the meaning of "love" in ancient Greek and Greek "katharevousa", th last one fallen out of use since the mid-seventies.

But of course every Greek knows the meaning and if you were to develop it could stick. It's just that its a word not used be anyone anymore.

We use "ερωτας" for that.

I wouldn't necessarily drop the ερωσ.com, but I would make sure I'd develop if I wanted to get something out of it long term.

Thanks Yanni. I'd like to talk to you further when I'm ready to develop.
