Now in Macau.

I'm now in Macau for two nights, staying at the Venetian Macau.

Las Vegas Sands claims the 10.5 million square foot Venetian - twice the size of the Las Vegas original - is the largest building in Asia and the second largest in the world. Boeing Co. claims it has the world's largest building - a plant in Washington state.

The Venetian boasts what it claims to be the world's largest gaming space of 550,000 square feet, housing 3,400 slot machines - with room to expand to 6,000 - and more than 800 gambling tables.
http://world-amazing-facts.blogspot....d-largest.html

The 555000 sq ft of casino is packed with people, each of the 800 tables has at least 10 persons, 5 sitting, and 5 watching.

Basic rooms start from $200 a night (travel agent rate). A small suite, at $400 a night (travel agent rate).

All the other casinos, MGM, Wyn, Sands, dozens others, are also packed with people.

This is true. I used to drive past this monster from time to time as it is sitting parallel to Interstate 5.

Presumably, they're at least partly that busy because it's Chinese New Year...?

Yes. It's a public holiday, but i've never seen anything like this before. I don't gamble, know nothing about card games, so this mind boggles me.

Btw, here's Sand's Venetian Macau revenue versus Venetian and Palazzo, Las Vegas. Note that the Venetian macau just opened a few months ago. Sands Macau is a smaller casino that Sands owns in Macau, besides the Venetian.

I would say head for the Craps table and (quite simply) put some money on the "Pass" line. This is pretty much an even bet.
Craps tables are the most fun and exciting action in the casino when a table gets hot. The dice are passed around the table
in rotation each time a new game starts, so eventually you will get a chance to be the "shooter" and try your luck for everyone
betting at the game.

I don't think they play craps in Macau, Sic Bo is probably the closest. Hi/Lo- Big/Small
Venetian and the whole of the Cotai Strip is amazing and just getting bigger and better.

Enjoy Touch - put $50 on number 17 at first roulette table you see- maybe/maybe not!

Your right about that. Looks like they just put a Craps table in over at the Wynn Resort. From quote below
looks like they have one at the Venetian too. Guess thats mainly for the vacationing westerners.

Hey Touchring...go for it. Tell them Big Louie from Vegas sent you. :p
"I'm also told that there is a craps table somewhere inside the cavernous Venetian Macau but I'd guess that even
the employees don't know they have it or where its located".

This is the term casino use to call themselves - 娛樂場。

In the venetian, they use the simplified chinese term - 娱乐场.

The common term used by people is 赌场 - which translates into gambling den.
