Answer:
Originally a news article of Henan Commerce Newspaper.

Then it appeared in one of the biggest Chinese website.

Yes Mike, it's big alright.. which makes me curious a) what it says, and b) where the ad is sited...

I may be wrong, but I think the general belief about advertising in China is that any type of ad is a good ad; anyone have an example to either support this idea or pull it down??

:-)

www.好借好贷.com

Looks very nice and creative. Perhaps there are many of these haohao (好好) names in China?

好借好贷.com forwards to zzjjdd.com, which means nothing - just a random set of letters they use for their website.

btw, have you guys noticed that they like to put in the www. as well? www.xxx.com seems to be the popular format.

Me, giant and markits have been telling you guys that the Chinese got no issues with the www. and .com, but people just don't believe and can't understand.

If I were to market an IDN, I'd put in WWW. 100%. This just makes it more noticeable that it's a website.

Precisely. if you put in a www. and a .com at the back, there's no mistake.

Not to talk about .idn, i think many people may not even know .mobi is an internet address. If i haven't gone into the domaining biz i wouldn't know myself!

I wouldn't say it will "fail", it will be like one of those dot mobi or dot asia or dot eu (to limited extent) where people chase after it, and the enthusiasm die out after sometime when ppl figure out they will be trafficless.

No, not in terms of use. I've mentioned numerous times that .idn is needed for RTL languages. It will fail in terms of marketing vs www. IDN .com/net.
