It's kinda like saying "IDNs are gonna take off, because we say so! And that's an order!"

Not exactly yet, but when ads run dry, they will use it for themselves (their search engine) and their top partner sites. Domainers will be last.

Re: Paulson, Bernanke: No recession in '08

The only thing that is keeping America out of Recession if indeed is not already there is the fact that nobody will own up to the fact. If Bernanke and Paulson admitted it would happen then Wall Street would fall apart at the seems. It was very telling that Bernanke was more or less promising more interest rates cuts. It will be interesting to see if he thinks zero is low enough or not!

The only reason I see for no 08 recession is that many top idners eg bill, mj etc are located in the USA.

We are heading for stagflation (we are in a mild one now), which is much worse than a recession

I think you are correct. The economy, jobs, etc. will progressively get worse over the coming year and take a good
while before we pull back out. The big question is... how bad?

Depends on whether the democrats will start shutting off America from world trade. If they do that, it will be really bad. The next few years won't be good for stocks, real estate and investments in general.

Another problem is what will happen if obama retreats from Iraq.

Don't count on that happening anytime soon regardless of who is in office.
