The Japanese, we have figured by now, do not by large belong to the type-in "mindset".
So, what's 20% of 0?

OK, I have regged a couple of commercial products with 28000+ OVT.
So according to what u have said, u will buy them for 500$.
ハンドル: steering wheel, automobile guidance system, device for guiding the car, navigating wheel
メッシュキャップ: Mesh cap
ハンドル.jp 28,959 OVT ( ハンドル.com was registered at jan-2006)
メッシュキャップ.jp , メッシュキャップ.com : 28,362 OVT
very clear google images results for メッシュキャップ: http://images.google.com/images?q=%E...=1&sa=N&tab=wi
and for ハンドル:
http://images.google.com/images?um=1...=Search+Images
google SERP for "ハンドル":23,800,000
google SERP for "メッシュキャップ": 624,000
yahoo SERP for "ハンドル": 62,700,000
yahoo SERP for "メッシュキャップ": 1,310,000
a lot of ads for both of them when searched in yahoo.co.jp:
メッシュキャップ:
http://search.yahoo.co.jp/search?p=%...=top_ga1&x=wrt
ハンドル:
http://search.yahoo.co.jp/search?p=%...=top_ga1&x=wrt
ハンドル also has google trends comparable to that of a city with population of 127,000 people(箕面):
http://www.google.com/trends?q=%E3%8...ate=all&sort=0
Waiting for your offers, Alphamale.

Re: 300$ budget
I'm not surprised you found something in .jp, I think there are quite a few obscure terms still open.
but i don't think they're worth $500 IMO, if the steering wheel were .com, that would be different.
but def worth the reg, nice find!

Re: 300$ budget
I don't know if it is the primary term or not, but isn't the fact that 28,362 people are searching for "メッシュキャップ" every month, a compelling evidence of its worth?
But ok, u name the price. For how much would u buy it?

As usual, those who post budgets and brag about their buying abilities are full of hot air.
As the above shows, this is just a ploy to get people to PM or post lists of the domains that have been reg'd to give them ideas, inspiration or copycat style regging techniques.

As you showed in this thread, you aren't buying commercial .jp for $500 or even $300 yourself either, so why bother?

This was about domains with 10000 and 13000 OVT offered by TheGenius1, not about 25000 OVT domains.
I will still buy 25000 OVT commercial domains, but not for the price of 300$.
As I could understand from Alphamale behavior, 300$ is too much for it.

Ovt is only a guideline. Don't treat it too seriously, especially for japanese, when ovt does not even indicate traffic.

Re: 300$ budget
OVT score does indicate traffic for Japanese com domains. All my regular trafficed (small though) Japanese domains are having high ovt score.

Yep, on a term with over 1.1m OVT, I get 5-15 type-ins per day.
Pathetic. Japanese should really learn how to type-in.

Not necessarily , Depends what type of traffic you are talking about. I have some domains with ovt in the Low thousands that receive more traffic then 50+k ovt.

Thanks, but I know what is type-in traffic. I was asking whether it is type-in traffic that he is talking about, or not.

Let's see how much an ovt 36,255 commercial product name can fetch then...
http://www.idnforums.com/forums/1732...tml#post110195 (Japanese commercial product dot com on Auction)
It's not a great name. But it's still a commercial product and has a good ovt score.
Terms of the auction are set in such a way that it's within everybody's reach.
