Russian IDN Subdomains! Fantastic!

I really have to thank Edwin for this one. When I saw his post selling his entire Russian portfolio, I noticed one of his top domains,
реферати .com ## xn--80ajan0bcpm.com ## report, reference
gets an overwhelming 3.578.140 Yandex and USOVT 23641.

However the Yandex term is for реферат (singular, I think). Edwin’s name gets only a mere USOVT 6679! (USOVT distinguishes Russian names in masc/fem and plural)
And there’s also Рефератов with USOVT 211 and Рефераты with USOVT 35786. The latest I guess must be the best one!

So I thought: there must be a lot of variations of great name still available. And indeed there are! What to do with them? SUBDOMAINS!

Yandex shows 2.848.739 for this and Google 24 millions. I know there’s other more common forms like программа / программ and the plural(?!) программы, but when I get a Google add like this:

I know I can’t be that much wrong. Next step is to create the subdomain

My Russian is a bit rusty ... but it sounds correct

Excellent idea Jose, you can lease subdomains, say, 100 different different owners all advertising the own space and with that the main domain. The downside is that for the directory interface you do need the main domain.

we have xxxxxxx.pagina.nl as one of the most visited Dutch sites.

That's why I regged página.net in spanish .

What's the deal with subdomains and SEO, can anyone give some basics on that ?

So far he hasn't been able to get indexed on Google (site:россии.com returns 0), but he got 90 pages from his poccuu.ru version.

It will be interesting to follow up...
