How can a domain be deleted prior to it's expiration date?

No, i want to delete a domain i own and it was recently auto renewed.

Transfer it to Godaddy, then press the delete button.

They don't necessarily delete it immediately like they did in the old days, they stick it into their PPC porgram to see if they can monetise it first, then they try to auction it off, but at least it's not your problem any more.

You can delete domains at Dynadot. It's in the same place where the unlock function is.

First, you unlock the domain, then you will see the delete button.

But that's not instant delete is it? It goes through a redemption cycle first?

If Im deleting a 'dodgy' domain I take screenshots of the deletion process .. to have some form of proof of 'no bad intent'

How much weight this would hold I don't know

Just make sure you don't show ad's, other than that trademark infringement is something they will just throw at you to freak you out in a fear mongering email from the 'legal department'.
