I dont know what caused all the blogging in July 05 , but its great to see that March 2008 is the second highest of all time.

you couldn't register IDN.jp for some time prior to the summer of 2005? I didn't know that at all.

Ever notice on whois that people either registered them in the year 2000 or since 2005?

Not really.... I can't remember. But if you look at the total number of JDN.jp registration between 2001 and now, there seems to be uptake here and there almoat every year.

食.jp was registered in 2003. I do see many more registered in 2000-2001 and 2005-2006 than 2003 though. The spike in 2005 could be when .jp was publicized again or its offering initiated at a big registrar.
