IE7 bug for Japanese IDNs with "ー" (dash) character?
I've mentioned this before, but I don't think anyone has ever confirmed this... Is there a bug using IE7 for Japanese domains with the "ー" (dash) character?
When I enter ANY Japanese IDN which includes the "ー" character into IE7, it gets displayed as punycode. Anyone? Last edited by idnowner; 03-29-2006 at 01:04 AM.

Weird I had never noticed this before. It seems to count the "ー" as a latin character therefore a mixed script and displays only punycode.
You can report this bug here. http://connect.microsoft.com/ This for sure needs to be fixed.

That might be true
I think I tried to see my domain テレビゲーム.com (TV Game) & I think it showed me punycode or didn't work. I think I gave up after that. I usually use it as my testing name.
