Inviting people over to the new place
I'm just here doing private invitations to get people over to the new place.
The main reason for private invitations at this time is to prevent username hijacking. Send me a PM if you want an invitation and I forgot you.
Public announcement coming later.

Re: Inviting people over to the new place
Inviting boys to your Neverland again? (land of never... having normal sex or successful domaining?)
"Girls are like internet domain names, the ones I like are already taken."
(How can you have normal sex without girls or successful domaining without domain names? )

Not for me. I already have what I want, not interested in something new and bizarre

Giant, your wind-stealing act did not work. Money does not always buy everything.
Quite frankly, after that stunt you pulled, I'd be happy if you never showed up.

There are many millionaire investors here, $5,000 is all a poor man like me can afford. Don't you think that's money well spent?
So don't let "Giant" be registered, you know I won't go there, thank you very much.

I won't let anybody take Giant as a username.
I don't believe in people playing games with the well-known identities of others.

Re: Inviting people over to the new place
My personal view is that the last thing we need right now is another bolt-hole.
It was necessary to split from the main domaining community because it was impossible to get our voice heard there.
It is no longer necessary for us to hide away from the rest of the World. If it is our destiny to take the message to the rest of the World, now is the time to do it, not look for a new bunker to shelter in.
The English forums are not the ideal environment to take that message to, and I am not sure that we will even need to bother, as forces much more powerful than ourselves will soon bear down on the problem. But I for one will be spending a much greater proportion of the much more limited amount of time I intend to devote, getting the message out there. Of course, if I were a Russian or Chinese speaker, I would not waste my time on Namepros and DNF, but what choice do I have?

Re: Inviting people over to the new place
I don't think IDNFs will disappear. That scenario seem most likely on the assumption that Craig was dead. We now know that is not the case.
Craig is not going to let an asset he values at $10K evaporate into the ether.
The only scenario where it might disappear is if MJ bought it, but at this juncture it is unlikely that Craig would sell to him, even if he were prepared to stump up the asking.
If anyone else buys it then it is likely to get revitalised.

Re: Inviting people over to the new place
I will have to disagree with you Dave, again
If Craig considered IDNFs an asset at this point, he would not have abandonded it in the first place. At least, he would be here right now trying to fix things up to justify his asking price, even as a pretence.
It seems likely that he's involved in something which he values way more than this forum.
Will it die off? Maybe not completely, but it will never have the "air" that it had up until recently. No matter who buys it.

Maybe but MJs site is not that much more impressive.
He generally has about 35 members there but what was noticeable is that the list did change between when I went to bed and got up in the morning. This was a trick we pulled with GotIDN we increased the delay over the default to create the impression of a following. OK, he may well have one but it is being exaggerated in a very unconvincing way.
The other thing I noted was that there were no Auctions, few sales and none of note. I know I was responsible for much of the posting at other forums but not 80% and much the rest seems to be attributable to his cohorts recycling old news.
Frankly MJ has a long way to go until I am convinced he is no more than a flash in the pan.

Yes, if you count Touchring.
I don't think he want to publicise it yet.

Re: Inviting people over to the new place
Well touch is a "native" Singaporean. Chinese is most likely his second language.
