Well I didn't get an explanation.

Bottom line is that there is nothing happening over there that makes any sense to me, and there is nothing I can say that will ever make any sense to them. We might as well be from different planets.

I hate to see Noobies throwing money down the shitting, but Namepros raison d'etre seems to encourage them to do exactly that. In that respect they are very closely aligned to TRAFFICS.

Anyway, I have just told Moniker that we don't wish them to promote our domains any more. I tried to explain the problems about selling names that will be dropped from the DNS, but for all the good it does you might as well be talking in Klingon. Frankly, they are even more clueless than SEDO, and that is really going some.

We aren't really in this game to sell names. That is just a short-term tactic to overcome the delays in getting browser support out there. If these people cannot come in and provide any kind of half-useless service in the short-term, then we certainly won't need them in the long-term.

Re: American Love of Free Speech strikes again

Wouldn't surprised! But it is time that people stopped following these guys like sheep. Their bullshit is cost thousand of people an absolute fortune. Domain markets are being constantly manipulated, and it is time that it stopped. After the Paris fiasco, I have told Moniker to sling their hook, and that we are no longer interested in doing business with them. Putting up domains that stand to be disabled with Nameprep means they are either incredibly incompetant, or synically manipulative or both. Either way we don't wish to be associated with them.

Anyway, who needs to be part of a Forum whose main purpose seems to be to convince people that strings of hypenated words, made up words, dot Mobi, dot Asia and obscure ccTLDs are actually going to worth anything. The ASCII bullshit bandwagon is about to come of the road and a load of people are about to realise they have been totally conned.

Frankly, those are one of the more promising domain avenues being exploited over there!
