Those with large IDN Portfolios

Those with large IDN Portfilios how do you decide what you might want to let go?
I'm pretty slo at registrations & usually take my time to only target specific terms & themes. I usually leave tons free that if I want later I can get if I really want it.

How do you guys decide what to let go?
Do you have any attachment to some that you just hide away from your list
Do you make a list of expendable domains & certain keepers?

Since I'm in Tokyo, & actually working with most of the major internet marketing companies in Japan I have an unfair advantage to see what is being developed in this market. My buys are according to what is being developed & not Overture.

So also you guys might notice that I usually target themes. I'm waiting for a few jp registrations to resolve & I'll post my recent buys but are you guys doing the same?

I've bought the adult terms but except for a few even though I register them I keep thinking I don't want them initially.

My portfolio is only 300 IDNs all Japanese. Some are good for Parking some are markets with high advertising dollars...

I've also neglected to sell any of my jps are you guys finding transfering of them OK? I'm registering them with a Japanese interface so I'm not sure have any of you guys transered some yet?

I'd actually be more inclined to sell jps since I have so many if I knew they were easy to transfer...

Re: Those with large IDN Portfolios

Most of my high bid keywords average 1,200 to 2,000 yen

Re: Those with large IDN Portfolios

It's a bit early in the game to decide what to keep and what to drop. If names are still getting no traffic/revenue in a couple of years, that's more likely to be an appropriate time to stop renewing them. Of course, it's not worth renewing anything that's turned out to be an obvious "mistake" but for everything else the jury is still out...

Transferring Dot JPs is a breeze if you are are at jp-domains.com. You just push them. It is not highly automated and take about 24 hrs to go through, but it really is no more complicated than Domainsite.com.
