Looks like the party is over at Dynadot

Seems with arrival of November 1st the "special" pricing for IDNs has been discontinued.
Gonna miss those $3.75 nets and $ 4.75 .coms :)

It was nice while it lasted and no doubt Dynadot got a bunch of new reg's out of it.

If they know what's good for them they will keep the specials on for a bit longer ;)

No kidding...I had stopped regging and at those prices went back and grabbed a couple of hundred more at $4.75.

Which is the cheapest registrar now then ?? Domainsite ?

Its a real pity that they have stopped this pricing. I'm pretty glad though with the fact that I regged about 100 or so IDNs at Dynadot during the past 2 weeks.

I asked Moniker and they said Verisign ended that special pricing October 31st.... Moniker didn't give us that pricing cause their system would have to be reprogrammed to have two different prices for .com s.... Thus they kept the extra money :P

Dynadot had to end the promotion cause of Verisign... Give them credit. They were the only registrar to pass it on to us..

So Verisign that fly lower than a stealth missile having actually been actively promoting IDN.com. Wonders will never cease. :)

NO registrar passed the discount to us other than dynadot ;)
Some promotion

gave all of the registrars a nice early christmas gift (money that should have been in IDN holders hands)...
Thanks Moniker, Domainsite etc for playing the part of the grinch that stole christmas

I guess that's exactly why Verisign quickly terminated the promotion.

They should have kept it rolling up until release of idn.idn.
Extending would be a nice promotion for idn.
BTW, this rate did not apply to renewals, but up to 2 years on a new reg.

Looks like Dynadot gained net 10,000 NEW registrations in the last month alone.

Perhaps it was more about trying to expand the base of registrars that support IDN. Some of you forget that when we got into this game hardly anyone supported them and we even had to point Domainsite in the right direction so you didn't have to put the punycode in each time. For me at registrar level capitulation will come when Network Solutions is accepting registrations again.

Oh well, lucky I got a fair few registrations done. Dynadot is quite an easy registrar to use, and is still quite cheap.
