idn.bz has evolved. The next logical step has been made!

It now gives estimated value of an idn term [dot] com.

Once I had great rates, all that was needed was to put together that rates with the sales value of all the idn domains I could find. On doing so, I was able to build a prediction matrix that would output the value of an idn domain given its rate.

As of now, the most accurate is Spanish, although we have used a db of backorders, so it's more on the reseller/low side.

There are sales that really disturb the matrix. For instance,
Russian emeralds which sold for $250 with only 260.000 Google results or, as a better example, with (xn--9ckxbt7377c) Shares Map Japanese which sold for $8000.

The more values the db has, the more it can accurately predict. So, I ask you:

- Do you have any database of domains you have previously sold/bought? and,
- Would you mind collect all info of the sales you’re involved in and send them to me?

Note: I already got all the values from idntools, but those alone create a very bad matrix since it seems nothing was ever sold below $500. (And thus the algorithm thinks nothing will ever be...). That's why I need the smaller values also.

Other changes made were:

Version 3.0
-Fixed: Google trends fetching moved to another server due to Google overload ban.
-Fixed: Algorithm tweaked due to Google geo showing ads only to targeted countries. And thus not showing them to our servers (based on USA)
-Added: The estimated value of a term [dot] com. Read complete info on the FAQ.
-Added: A database. Now all queries and resultant values are stored on a database for future data mining. The database makes possible the new dynamic top listings (more below) and the calculus of the estimated value of a domain name, as this is based on previous sales.
-Added: Cache. Now all queries get cached for a certain amount of days. For now it’s 10 days. The effect is blazing fast loading speed of popular queries. (And giving Google a rest)
-Added: Dynamic Top Ten Lists. These listings are now assembled in real time from the top 10 results stored on the database. There is now one Top Ten list for each language.
-Added: Naver and Baidu links to Korean and Chinese results; Yandex and Rambler to Russian; and keywordadvisetoolplus to Japanese domains queries.
-Added: A Paypal donate button: $5.

For that you will need the ascii matrix

The number one in the Spanish list is valuated at less than $600, it would seem logical that the best Spanish name will sell for at least the highest price paid so far for a Spanish name with consideration of the change over time.

Perhaps you can also mention the extension when you indicate that a name has been sold previously ?

Perhaps in the future add the ctld's.

I can't do much about it, it is the way it is. The linear regression takes into account the past sales to predict future ones and, most if not all Spanish sales were on the low figures.

What's best about it is that it will improve a lot on the future as the number of pair of results grow. The more the better.

About the extensions, it uses only data from sales on the following extensions:

Portuguese, French, Russian, Greek, Arabic, Chinese Traditional and Korean: .com only.
Spanish: .com and .es
German: .com and .de
Japanese: .com and .jp
Chinese Simplified: .com and .cn

On the future and as the number of sales grow, I will split the results by extensions (adding .net is top of the list) and also by year. I can't do that now or else I would end with to few results to work.

I am wondering, if you merely want an indication of the market price you might also use the price expectation by the buyer, i.e. parse auction threads and look for specific prices, that way you don't have to limit yourself to finished sales and the coding logic can be much easier.

Major change: introducing Google Local variable! Now results are as local users would see them. Don't get too excited this could means, sometimes, fewer results, as for example this: http://idn.bz/rate.php?keyword=%D0%B...BA&language=ru

As you can also see on the example above, and also very nice is the Russian transliteration from Cyrilic to English!

Would like to do this to Japanese and others, but seems way more complex than Russian. Any ideas?
