hello
Just dropped in to say hello and show my face, upon request.
Didn't come to start any shit, didn't come to attempt to close any wounds, didn't come to try to build any alliances or anything of the sort. I simply came to say hello. If the atmosphere remains calm, I might stick around.
I am now trying to improve my life in general, and that has been decades overdue. That is not as a result of any of you, nor does it have anything to do with online forums, etc. So don't delude yourself into thinking that this small stuff was what made me finally wake up.
I apologize for being controlling in the past, and I don't care if you accept it or not, nor do I care if it changes anything or not. I don't want control of anything (online or offline) any more.

Speaking for the MOD staff, I can let you know that the temperment for BS here is certainly changed 110%. As of the few recent
incidents...they were dealt with quickly and there is 0 tolerance for flaming, racial comments or insults. All incidents in the future
will result in immediate bans.

Good that you all got the priorities in order. Total anarchy here was what caused me to launch idnchannel in the first place, as you know, though some didn't believe it. I may go overboard on managing disruptive behaviour, but hopefully something good rubbed off on someone.
All I ever wanted was a place in which to relax.

can I add to this, that the best way to alert us of an inappropriate posting is to use the report post function.
it's the little icon to the right of the post number - this will email all mods/admin and usually receives prompt action - so please use it

Your expertise is going to be very valuable as the IDN market
takes off in each ccTLD differently....
Your dot FI and Finnish IDN dot com posts have been some of the best
and most educational for me personally....
welcome back to the deep end of the IDN swimming pool...(grin)
hopefully the treading water in place will be ending soon for when
the 'branding ' lightbulb goes off in Non English marketing minds around the world...............

If you read what I am saying, I am strongly considering giving up participation in forums altogether. They are too addictive, and I must focus on other things. Of course idnchannel will remain open, as there are paid memberships in effect and I can't just shut it down, but I doubt I will be doing too much posting anywhere unless it's listing something for sale or buying something.
I might, however, be available for technical consulting, speaking or writing engagements if the price is right. I am not going to take on any sort of project work, though. People know how to get ahold of me...

I think that it doesn't work. I reported inappropriate posts in my sales thread, I seen several moderators and admins online and active at the time, and there was zero action.
