No "Adsense for domains" yet on my account...

Google's becoming a parking provider. Will Google start buying domains to get the whole pie? Now that's consolidation.

Google has been a parking provider for a long time. Huge traffic domains only.

Hopefully sedo and others will have to come up with better revenue split

Re: Google cutting parking providers out of the loop now

This is puzzling to me. Right now my ISP gets all the 404's and page not founds. How will google get it before the ISP. Seems impossible.

Hasn't shown up on my Adsense either

How will this affect Sedo and Godaddy and other feed recipients?

Re: Google cutting parking providers out of the loop now

Guess that means that Sedo and Co. will have to get their finger out their arse on a whole load of fronts.

Sedo could use other sellers of Online Ads or even start their own and cut Google out of the loop. Assuming those numpties have a grain of intelligence between them.

Google might just be opening Pandora's Box here!

Or just maybe Google already has some good competitor intelligence on Sedo's activities...

Absolutely. Have Google reduced their traffic requirements for this new "extended" program?

and btw, I feel parking companies have screwed many domainers. in particular, trafficz used to run a "life-time affiliate program", and when things turned south, they changed it instantly into a "6-month affiliate program". screw 'em.

Re: Google cutting parking providers out of the loop now

Seems to me everyone is slagging the Google program, but all they need to do is buy a parking company and integrate the interface. Not beyond the wit of man really. I think there are likely to be quite a few parking companies going cheap. Even in this environment, I think Google would be able to find the Mullah if pushed.

Most of the parking companies have such lazy offerings they wouldn't even be worth buying .... I'm sure a few smart Google employees could replicate their offerings in a couple of weeks. Parking companies have been living off the fat of the land for way to long. They didn't innovate to any extent. Most will be gone soon.

If I could have what I really wanted from a parking company, it would be the sharing of statistics - user agent, referrer, search terms, geo location, etc.

And the main thing would be transparency regarding revenue share and source.

Spot on. G isn't known for transparency, though.

Depends on which side you are referring to.

At the moment, you are transparent to G for whatever you do, the adsense domains you own, the sites you search and the adwords you publish and the emails you send (gmail).

So they know everything of you!

And now, G wants to know more about the domains you park as well! lol

Re: Google cutting parking providers out of the loop now

What it does prove is that parking is here to stay.

If Google thought they could get the traffic without paying domain owners, they would do exactly that!
