Domainsite renewal code not valid anymore?

Code validates in the control panel but it's not applied when renewing domains.

Anyone else?

Re: Domainsite renewal code not valid anymore?

Steve

Which renewal code is this ?? I remember I applied one ( which if I remember correctly was posted on these forums ) to my Domainsite account about a year ago or so.

Yesterday I did a whole bunch of renewals and automatically the price for each was $6.49.

Re: Domainsite renewal code not valid anymore?

Yes, i tried it about 3-4 months ago using idnx56789, and it didn't work for me then - code was accepted, but at checkout no discount applied

Re: Domainsite renewal code not valid anymore?

Anyone else hampered from renewing because domainsite takes forever to load the bulk renewal screen? Any fix?

Re: Domainsite renewal code not valid anymore?

The renewal code is not working for me anymore. I used it only a few days ago successfully. Could someone who has a contact ask them about it? If the new price is 8.88, I'm transferring en masse to dynadot.

Haven't used the code but up until yesterday renewals were 6.50, now 8.88 as mentioned.
Same thing on the hanging issue.

Dynadot here we go! As anyone got in touch with them?

Better tell them also that 10.000 IDNs are moving!

I'll definately be up for moving all mine out of Domainsite as well.

From $6.50 to $8.88 is a pretty steep increase. Pity Domainsite didnt issue any warning about this, as I would have renewed a whole bunch more.

By the time we need to renew $8.88 won't buy you a cup of coffee this side of the pond.

Re: Domainsite renewal code not valid anymore?

Their basic service as advertised on their price list is currently $7.88 for .com annually, and $8.88 for their premium service.
However, the $ 7.88 does not seem to show up as option for renewals.

I wrote them an email to see what is up and will post what I find out.
Hopefully they will reinstate the $6.49 renewals or at least give a notice period for any price increases.

Re: Domainsite renewal code not valid anymore?

I also sent Domainsite an email earlier about this, and have now just received a reply back from them ....

--------------

Hello Alex,

We appreciate your response! Our renewals have been $8.88 for some
time and we were happy to offer our $6.49 renewal special for IDN
domains as long as we could. Unfortunately, we can no longer continue
to offer IDN renewals at $6.49.

Let us know if you have further questions. We are happy to help!

----------

Definately looks like the price will stay at $8.88 - so the option of transfering out to Dynadot looks like it will definately happen with my domains still at Domainsite.

Can anyone let me know how much time you have to transfer a domain from one registrar to another before the domain expires ?? I have some domains that expire on the 13th Feb - would I be able to get these transfered over to my Dynadot account in time ??

Alex
