Does anyone know how I can use a symbol like



in a word document? I searched in the list of symbols but didin't find it, and I don't want to import a picture...

Is it impossible?

on a further note you can draw the diagram with the word drawing tools...

they usually show up on a tool bar (view, toolbars, drawing) and you will be able to make the figure you want.

Simple.
1. Click the line button and draw the vertical line;
2. Click the arrow button and draw the arrow.

Lines and arrows can be placed in any directions and positions.

I actually got the exact arrow you want to work with Office 2007

Insert > Shapes > and there's an option for a "curvy" arrow. Can't copy paste it here since it's not a character, but it's the same size, etc. and can be edited.

Go to autoshapes-connectors. You can fit the object into a Chinese char square.

You need to drag and move the middle point (yellow colour usually) of the connector or symbol to create any shapes you like.

I don't think there is a symbol from "insert-symbol" route.

Thanks RD. I didn't know that i could actually get a mirror image of a symbol.
