Re: Portfolio culling?
Portfolio culling? Yeah, I dropped 99% of ASCII names. So much for city + service long tail names.
I learned my lesson dropping IDN, when I dropped what I thought was just an OK .CN. Some sharp-eyed dood picked it up and sold it for x,xxx LOL.

Re: Portfolio culling?
Dropping 25% mostly .biz and some .nets and a few .coms that were pretty bad to start. If I knew which language will be next to pop, I would start actively purchasing in that language. Which language do you think it will be? Right now my thai and arabic are neck and neck for second place.

Re: Portfolio culling?
Dropping some stupid IDN purchases (screw ups, etc.) and let go of a lot of my LLLL.coms/ASCIIs.
Last year I just renewed everything and didn't really care, but been really spot-on looking through stuff this year.

Re: Portfolio culling?
I culled a year ago - maintaining status quo for the next year then re-evaluate.

Re: Portfolio culling?
Dropping mistakes as fast as I can find them .nets I have dropped already being a lot more picky on what I buy or reg now. Since thing are not very liquid at the moment and no real sign of a change anytime soon.

Re: Portfolio culling?
I'm planning to drop all but two of my .net domains. Beyond that, who knows...

Re: Portfolio culling?
Will drop a couple of .net and some less interesting .com On the whole I expect to have more names at the end of the year than before.
Will start developing as well, time permitted.

Re: Portfolio culling?
I have more names now than the same time last year. Will be dropping some mistake regs though, replacing with better domains.

Re: Portfolio culling?
I've decided to invest more capital into development and out of parking. And portfolio trimming is good discipline.

Re: Portfolio culling?
getting rid of many hong kong influenced xxyy.com IDN's ...
that make sense in the south....
with the PRC use of yyxx.com .... 3/4's common usage...
likely that dot HK or dot TW will have those expressions...
about 5%....
5% of my Hindi's are incorrect.....
I think my double owned Russian IDN's with/ and without hyphens are a hold.....
for now...
as for development.....
I am playing with mobile web CMS tools......
I think RSS/ twitter/ IM/ SMS content is going to be better than parking..
