Google Search Results invalid without Quotation Marks?

Try Searching this:

ज्ञान

then try with quotation marks!

Not sure but i think you need to use + ( i.e +ज्ञान ) since it is one word. Quotation marks apply for 2 or more words.

+ज्ञान = 850k results
ज्ञान = over 200million results

Re: Google Search Results invalid with Quotation Marks?

If you don't use quotation marks, then Google may also bring up results that contain synonyms of the word you're searching for. Quotation marks limit the results to sites that contain EXACTLY that word.

Absolutely, correct my title should have said Without.

Clearly in this case we are getting foreign language synonyms. Do we also get same language synonyms? Because if we do then more care is going to be needed to ensure that we are looking at Primary Terms.

Hello, Back from the weekend. Yes, correct. Knowledge without knowledge:
That's where the difference is: ~300 + ~70 = 370

Re: Google Search Results invalid without Quotation Marks?

Hi,

I just saw this post.. it seems to be related to my question that i just posted.
If you take any word on Yandex too and put quotation marks the amount of searches drops dramatically.

1. is that indeed because the search is limited to that specific word and not to other words that contain that word too?

2. How would you value a word based on searches?
In theory a word should be valued without quotation marks since it gives all the possible situations where that word comes up.

3. In the example I gave in my post a word has x number of searches and the same word minus a letter has 5x searches . Would it be worth something, even though it has no sense on its own??

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=dic...ng+up+suddenly

rool down to the botton
Tip: These results do not include the word "suddenly". Show results that include "suddenly".

Excuse me?! May I decide what I search for?!

Re: Google Search Results invalid without Quotation Marks?

OK..no answer to my question? I thought the pro's were here

Again, if apple shows 50000 searches but appl shows 500,000 searches - is the name app worth taking??
It obviously has no meaning as a word but would it have value in SEO or domain forwarding/clicking??

Tx,

Abe
