Two word japanese term with 80,000 google results and over 400,000 ovt -- and yes, I have the terms the right-way round!

Is it worth registering? ???

I wouldn't think twice about it.

While the overture isn't everything, something that big is just to hard to ignore.

Does it have any ads on google.co.jp?

I don't think you can tell by looking at ads on Google.co.jp only if you are in Japan
Many of the ads are geotargetted.

I wouldn't worry about the Google Score. If the word is product specific generic, then if you have 80K Japanese Web Pages that should be plenty.

You have the information on the demand side of the equation, you need to check the supply side.
