Thanks!

Just a rich man without any solid political vision. The man enjoys little popularity among the people of Japan.

He's likely to resign way before IDNs get popular in Japan.

Based on the comments I read across various sources, he lacks vision and tactics of how to save the Japanese economy. He does not want to take the fundamental solution: open Japanese door to the world!

I do not quite understand what exactly it means. It does not represent my own opinion. An overseas Japanese may have insights about this issue.

I see. I guess it doesn't really matter anyway as Hatoyama is not a real power broker.

Re: 鳩山.com

It is very possible that 鳩山 is in fact a good leader.
He will reposition Japan as a member of East Asia. He predicted that the US-led 'globalism' will soon come to an end (which is the reason that many Western medias are not in favor of him).

Yes, that would tend to lump him in with Gadaffi and the Taleban in the American Press.

He doesn't know what he's talking about. He's apparently called for single Asian currency. If he does such a thing, Japanese prosperity will come to an end before American spremacy does.

Now that his party's in power though, he'll be forced to realize that he was only dreaming.

Apparently, this is not a new concept - Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere
